How it works

One document, followed all the way through.

Rather than list features, this page follows a single scanned court order from the moment it arrives to the moment someone can act on it and check the answer. Every chapter is a place where Cresta builds.

The Cresta document system

Four chapters, whatever the document is.

Amicus and glidED are two instances of the same system. So is a custom build around your documents. This is what happens between a page arriving and the work moving.

  1. 01Capture

Work enters in the formats people already use.

Nobody re-scans a filing because a system prefers clean input. Work arrives as a photograph taken in a corridor, a scan forwarded twice, a folder of answer sheets, an attachment from a phone. Capture accepts all of it and records where each file came from.

  2. 02Understand

AI turns pages into structured information.

Every page is read as an image rather than assumed to hold selectable text, because scanned filings and photographed paper do not. The document type is identified before extraction, and each value keeps the page it came from.

  3. 03Verify

Confidence is visible. Judgment stays human.

Confident values move on. Uncertain ones stop, in a queue built for clearing them quickly: the value, the page behind it, and the correction in one place. Nothing low-confidence is committed quietly.

A verified fact is only useful when it moves something: a date computed on a real calendar, a record updated, a task assigned, a report prepared, a notification sent to the person who has to act on it.

The capabilities

What each chapter turns into, in practice.

Each capability below belongs to a chapter above, and is stated as the change it produces. Together they are what a Cresta engagement can include — nothing that has not been built before.

Capture

Work enters in the formats people already use.

  • Document ingestion and mobile capture

Upload from the web, photograph from a phone, forward from email, or pull from a connected drive. Every channel lands in the same intake so nothing depends on one person remembering to file it.

Froma scanned attachment sitting in a group chat

Toa filed record with its origin, uploader, and timestamp intact

  • Flutter mobile application development

Native iOS and Android builds from one Flutter codebase, with camera capture, offline reading for places with no signal, biometric locks, and push notifications tied to workflow events.

Fromwork that waits until someone is back at a desk

Tocapture, review, and approval where the work is happening

Understand

AI turns pages into structured information.

  • Vision OCR and document classification

Pages are read as images rather than assumed to contain selectable text, which is what scanned filings and photographed paper actually are. Classification happens before extraction so the right fields are looked for.

Froma forty-page scan nobody has read

Topage-level text, a document type, and a page you can point at

  • Structured extraction and confidence scoring

Parties, identifiers, dates, amounts, scores, and obligations become fields on a record. Confidence is stored with the value, so the workflow can tell the difference between a certainty and a guess.

Fromfields retyped from a PDF into a spreadsheet

Tonamed fields, each with a confidence value and a page reference

  • Source-aware document chat

Retrieval is scoped to the documents and records the user is allowed to see, and every claim carries its citation. An answer without a source is treated as a defect, not a limitation.

Froma summary you have to take on faith

Toan answer with a chip that opens the exact page behind it

Verify

Confidence is visible. Judgment stays human.

  • Human review and exception queues

Review is a designed surface, not a disclaimer: the extracted value, the page it came from, and the correction field sit together, so clearing an exception takes seconds instead of a document hunt.

Froman error discovered three weeks later

Toan uncertain value held in a queue until a person clears it

  • Multi-tenant access and audit-oriented system design

Tenant boundaries enforced in the data layer, role hierarchies, redaction of regulated identifiers before any model call, and a workflow event history that survives the people who created it.

Fromone shared login and an unclear trail

Toscoped access per organisation, per role, with events recorded

Act

Verified information moves the work forward.

  • Workflow and approval automation

AI identifies which rule applies; deterministic code computes the date against the real calendar, including weekends and declared holidays. State transitions carry permissions and validators.

Froma deadline somebody has to remember

Toa computed date, an assigned task, and an approval before it counts

  • Web application design and engineering

Server-rendered React applications with typed data access, role-aware routing, and interfaces designed around the queue the user actually works from.

Froma shared drive, a spreadsheet, and a group chat

Toqueues, documents, dashboards, and permissions in one workspace

  • Integrations, reporting, and operational dashboards

Email, calendar, storage, and messaging integrations feed the same record set that reports read from, so the report and the workflow can never disagree.

Fromnumbers assembled by hand at the end of the period

Toreports generated from the records the workflow already produced

Designed around role-based access, tenant boundaries, PII-aware AI calls, explicit approvals, and auditable workflow events.

Start with a document

Bring the document. We’ll map the rest.

Send one real example — a filing, a form, a batch of answer sheets — and we’ll walk through what can be extracted, what has to be checked by a person, and what could happen automatically afterwards.

  • One reply, from a person.
  • Questions about the document, not your budget.
  • If it is not a fit, we will say so.
